Around this wonderful castle running legends, among which the most famous is that one of a woman who was prisoner inside it. This woman was identified in the Queen Bianca of Navarra who was imprisoned by the perfidious Count Bernardo Cabrera (Lord of the County of Modica), in a room of the castle from which she managed to escape through the tunnels which led into the countryside surrounding the castle. Hence, the dialect name “Ronnafugata” meaning “woman escaped”. The visit will allow you to explore the interior of the Castle and its gardens.
